What an amazing experience! We booked the earliest canoe ride because we were told there was bigger change of seeing dolphins, and boy did we see SO many dolphins! They were swimming and playing right next to us and it was truly unbelievable.
There are only two families allowed on the canoe, one on each side. The canoeist were amazing, they gave us so much information about the area, the ocean, the mountains surrounding the hotel, etc T
Did you know that the canoe used at Aulani was built by the same builder of Moana’s live action canoe?
It was just an unbelievable experience from beginning to end. From existing Ko Olina lagoon, feeling like you are really “breaking” waves to the very end with Hei-hei’s special appearance.
You have to book the ride at Makiki Joe’s Rentals, which is located at Alan’s beach. As soon as you go down the stairs, it would be on your left side. Here’s where you can also rent paddle-boards, snorkeling gear, beach toys, etc. boogie boards are free based on availability.
